It contains high levels of photchemicals that help fight free radical damage in the body. It is high in iron, folate and vitamins A and C. Watercress is also rich in potassium, a mineral necessary for building muscle and keeping blood pressure at healthy levels. 

Recipes

Super Salad 1

Mix together:

1 bunch of watercress
1 bunch of basil leaves
1 avocado diced
1 mango diced
A handful of snow peas and several florets of broccoli together in a bowl.
Add your favorite dressing to salad and toss to combine.

Super Salad 2

Combine:

1 bunch of watercress
Diced broccoli
Diced cauliflower.
Mix olive oil and lemon juice to taste drizzle over salad to coat.

Process together in a blender:

1 small beetroot
1 pear
1 stalk celery
1 knob of ginger
1 bunch watercress
